The Construction Project Manager is responsible for being involved in planning and creating the overall schedule for the entire job from beginning to end. They’re involved in estimating and they issue contracts to the required and approved sub-trades, service providers, and suppliers. Project Managers essentially create a roadmap to completion before a shovel even hits the ground. Throughout the project lifecycle, the Project Manager must ensure the deliverables detailed in the client’s contract are achieved on-time and on-budget. Depending on how big the construction project is, the PM may be dedicated to a single job and be stationed on-site with the Site Superintendent(s) and their respective assistants.
In this course, you’ll learn how to be an effective and proactive Project Manager. You’ll learn each stage of the process, so you can create your own project roadmap. You’ll be introduced to industry standard construction management software, preparing you for real world construction projects.
